Dr. Fransheska Ovalles

Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Ovalles is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with a passion for creating positive experiences at the dental office for all of her patients. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Cornell University. During her undergraduate studies, she also obtained a minor in Child Psychology during her study abroad semester in Denmark, concentrating in children with special needs. She obtained her dental degree (D.M.D.) at Boston University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After graduation, she went on to complete an Advanced Education General Dentistry program at Boston University to enrich her clinical skills. During Dr. Ovalles’ dental training, she became very involved in community service, including a mission trip to the remote towns of Guatemala. These experiences strengthened her love for helping others through her profession and working with children. She completed her specialty program in Pediatric Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center in New York where she received extensive training in the dental care of children, adolescents, and special needs patients.

Dr. Ovalles grew up in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when she was 18 years old. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing. She has been a ballet dancer since she was 8 years old. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband Pablo.

Dr. Shasan William Liou

Pediatric Dentist

Dr-Shasan-William-LiouDr. Will Liou is a pediatric dentist who strives to provide the best possible experience for his patients. He believes that the enjoyable visits the children have will facilitate a positive attitude toward seeing the dentist and also motivate them to improve their oral hygiene at home. Dr. Liou is a native of Florida, born in Gainesville where he later moved to Orlando. He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and later returned to his birthplace to receive his dental degree (D.M.D.) at the University of Florida. He realized that his passion was working with children and completed a three-year pediatric dental program at the University of California in San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Liou received a certificate of Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master's degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at UCSF. During his three years at UCSF, he received extensive training in hospital dentistry, oral conscious sedation, and working with special needs patients. Dr. Liou currently practices out of our Coral Springs and Pembroke Pines locations.

In his time during dental school and residency, he participated in mission trips to Ecuador and the Dominican Republic, Special Olympics, and Give Kids a Smile. He is a big believer in community service and helping the underserved. He hopes to organize a trip one day back to Taiwan (his nationality) to provide dental services to the children there. He is PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certified and is also affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

In his spare time, Dr. Liou enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, Bailey. He also enjoys playing and watching sports, especially the Florida Gators and Orlando Magic.

Dr. Yohayra E Chardon

Dr Chardon

Dr. Chardon is a board eligible pediatric dentist committed to provide compassionate care in a positive dental environment.

Dr. Chardon was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She graduated with honors from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra at her hometown, where she obtained her first dental degree. Motivated by her aunt and uncle she moved to New York City to continue her dental education. In 2012, following a family legacy, she attended New York University to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. During this time, she volunteered at schools and community centers throughout the city and abroad. It was her time working with children at a foster care agency that would later inspire her decision to become a pediatric dentist. After graduating NYU in 2015, she went on to complete her General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

Dr. Chardon concluded an additional year as Chief resident to work closely with underserved children and adults with special needs. She earned her Pediatric Dentistry Certification at BronxCare Health System where she gained extensive experience in moderate sedation and general anesthesia. Upon completion of residency she decided to move to the Sunshine state looking for warmer weather and to be closer to her family.

In her spare time, Dr. Chardon enjoys taking care of her niece and nephew, reading novels, exploring Florida and visiting her native Dominican Republic.
